In an opinion piece for Architect Magazine, Aaron Betsky introduced a proposal by Michael Marshall to use the LEED rating system as a model to push diversity in the architectural profession.
In spite of it's weaknesses, the LEED model has been highly successful in driving innovation and incorporation of sustainable features into new and renovated buildings. It's continual reinvention and moving of the bar are helping to accelerate the improvements.
This is worth a read, and some considered action.
