Chris provided all pre-construction estimating for Gilbane Building Company and Gund Partnership on this expansion of the PSU central student union. 

PSU HUB, built in 1953 and expanded several times over the years, was renovated, and an addition, including a large undulating truss system supporting glass and metal roof panels provided estimating significant challenges. Terracotta panel walls and multi-story glass walls add to the interior interest, but some of the biggest challenges were hidden as multiple generations of utilities were tied together and updated to make the building function.
